The Real "Mango Man"

 The Real "Mango Man"
I have been a strong well wisher of Times Now and its Editor in Chief.
The channel now seems to have become the mouth-piece of the Ruling Party (as is usual with many others) and forgets even the apparent truth in many of its investigative journalistic ventures. May be it is playing the journalism of survival. It needs to learn the art of balancing act lest lose the claim of being No.1.

If not for Times Now and the media hype, this government would not have been in power so comfortably. Mr. Modi is voted to power not by the members of just one political party alone. Plainly, he is not BJP's Prime Minister, but India's. Remember, once the elections are over, the elected P.M & his council of ministers must cease to be projecting themselves as organs of a specific political party. They should be able to rise above the "narrow domestic walls" of political affiliations and biased affinities.
An average Indian looks forward to a progressive and peace loving nation where people of varying religious backgrounds live cordially in mutual trust and cooperation. Fortunately,India in the villages, to a greater extend lives peacefully, untouched by the fanatic aspirations of certain fringe religious sects.
I support Mr. Modi minus his hindutva shade of face, for I place my faith not in eliminating the enemy but in mitigating the enmity. I live and work mostly with true believers of Hinduism. Hinduism is better understood by non-hindus than the advertisers of hindutva. They have  neither the knowledge of the religion nor the desire to know, but with business in mind they create bottlenecks in the path of progress and try to get the harmonious religious fabric of the peace loving masses torn apart. When a child, I was fed regularly by a Hindu mother of my neighborhood, as my mother was away helping my father's business in the town. I fondly remember her as my second mother and her children as my brothers and sisters. We never knew the discriminating religious behaviors. I never knew her as a Hindu, but as mother.
Universal brotherhood is not just an abstract idea but it is the feeling helping you to grow above the petty belittling religious parochialism. Let men & women follow whichever faith they feel following or promoting. Let the leader of the country take a neutral position and be unperturbed by the fringe elements of the ruling political party. He is the P.M not just by virtue of those who follow and share the hindutva way of living. He needs to learn how to strike a balance.
Men and women are created with the free will to follow and practice whichever stream of faith they wish. Let "Modi" learn these basics from his friend "Barack". Visiting and sharing should help each other learn better in matters that matter the best to all men and women one represents.
Mr. Modi is a man with grassroots level experience of the sufferings of the ordinary people. India has created the "biggest middle class" from the least of all. Now it is Mr. Modi's turn to handpick and lift this middle class to the dignity of a world class. He is the man with great ideas that have its roots in the wisdom of ordinary living.
The soul of India lives in the villages. The average villager must have the minimum of roti, kapada & makkan. The farmer should get his share of profit for his produce, not the MNCs. The day the farmer out there in the farms is able to sleep fearlessly, the day when the mother of the family has her barns full to feed her kids, the day when political bigwigs understand that development is not the skyscrapers in certain pockets of their own constituencies and metro cities are not the reflection of integral growth of a nation, the day when the human exodus from villages to the towns and cities stops - if you can make this happen - you are the Second Gandhi from Gujarat - provided people forget 2002, the seemingly baseless blot on Mr. Modi. He has grown to erase the doubting Thomases off their apprehensions and prove to the world "India mein kitna hai dum". He has the potential.Let us join hands with this man on a real mission.(The views of a politically neutral citizen - The real "Mango Man").
